The Ne output of the VAST distributor is fed to the MegaSquirt TachIn to provide ignition timing.

The MegaSquirt spark control output at pin 36 goes to the VAST distributor IGt
The VAST distributor will in turn then drive a single external coil.

Make the red connections internally in MegaSquirt 1 v3.0 as shown in the PCB drawing above.

  1. Add a 1k ohm resistor between the right side of D1 and to the banded end of D9 (+12V)
  2. Connect XG1 to XG2
  3. Replace D2 with a jumper
  4. Remove C12 and C30
  5. With a jumper connect OptoIn to TachSelect (not shown)
  6. With a jumper connect OptoOut to TSEL (not shown)
  7. For 22RE add a 220 ohm resistor (or for MR2 add a 1k ohm resistor) from D14 (the side that goes to Q6) to the +5V connection in the proto area
  8. From D14 (the side that goes to Q6) connect a wire to IGN (goes to pin 36)

Note: On at least one install the input circuit had to be modified by replacing R12 with a 10k ohm resistor and replacing D1 with a jumper. Please report your experience on the forum.
