Re: [MS3X] VVT Miata angle changing with Duty Cycle at Zero
I can't do any testing--there is no battery in my miata. But when I put my test output to zero, the VVT remains in a small range of values +/-1 degree at most. It does fluctuate, but not very much. The way your VVT angle follows the exact inverse of your RPM leads me to believe you have some other p...

Sergio, can you post a screen shot of your VVT settings? There are two views... the map and the settings page. Post both and I'll see if I can help you out.

Re: two different machines... dont play well together
I want to sync the properties file so that both machines I use display the same colors and views automatically when I load them up.
for now I'm fine with win-UP to maximize and then dragging it to the correct size I need.

Re: two different machines... dont play well together
keep in mind my MLV properties file is the same file on both machines (it is synchronized).

Re: two different machines... dont play well together
Oooh nevermind, solved.
WIN-UPARROW maximizes to the current screen.
then click and drag drags it around in the same screen.

two different machines... dont play well together
I'm using MLV on two machines Machine A is a normal laptop Machine B is a dual screen desktop (ok so it's a laptop, but it's docked) I had MLV open on the secondary screen on the dual screen setup like this: [ MLV ] [ main ] Then (I share config files via dropbox) I open it at home on my single moni...

Re: feature request - align gauges horizontal/vertical
interesting. didn't think to multi-select and make adjustments.
but it doesn't seem to work the way described because there's no "apply" button for border. I guess you just have to slide and slide back?

Re: feature request - align gauges horizontal/vertical
how bout a simple gauge format painter or at least numbers on the sliders so we can get all the borders to be exactly the same.

Re: Knock tuning
Sounds like you want some sort of "long term trim" for spark. Basically LTT works like VEAL--adjusting the spark map over time--except that it doesn't require a computer and I am guessing would only remove timing in the amount you specify for the MAP and RPM region you specify up to some m...

Re: MS3 expander flyback circuit... aint good enough.
the best solution is to put a diode across the VVT +12 and MS3X output. You can do the same thing electrically inside the box by connecting the stripe of a 1N4007 to S12 (NOT S12C) and connecting the other side of the 1N4007 to the NON-stripe side of the diode of the output you're using. It'll be D1...

Re: Feature Request: VVT VE Correction
the error isn't huge even on large stomps since my cam changes more with RPM than with TPS.
but still, if the VE table was based on actual and not commanded, it'd probably be fine.

Re: Feature Request: VVT VE Correction
I think this is self-explanatory, right? Change the cam timing and you change the VE of the motor. I want to be able to correct for this using some sort of interpolation table that scales the main VE table by some amount related to cam advance. I don't get it. The cams obviously change the VE but t...

A/C with Fan / idle up operation in 1.1 RC1
I was noticing during testing to figure out my A/C issue that I'm not sure the "Compressor delay since last on" isn't working as I'd expect. Currently the delay works like this: 1. engage A/C button 2. fan comes on immediately 3. car idles up immediately 4. after Idleup Delay, A/C clutch e...

Re: A/C Idle Up Out not activating
I'm going to return the wiring to that configuration and try it in the car again. And the air is cold! I'm still stumped about what is/was going on. I suspect the original TIP120 could really have been bad, but without my own stim, I can't test it. I had to borrow one. I swear I tried all configura...

Re: A/C Idle Up Out not activating
ok I tested the Inj F config on the stim and it failed to light the LED. Not sure what's up with that but when the A/C is "off" I can see the LED light faintly and then when the a/c is "on" the LED goes dark. Fan LED works normally. I reverted temporarily to the IAC2 output with ...

Re: A/C Idle Up Out not activating
With the resistor in place of the coil, there was no voltage across the resistor. 12V was present on both sides when measured to ground. In other words, the Megasquirt side was not grounding. But it works on the stim? James The original wiring was through JS2 via the IAC2A Pin 29 on the db37. On th...

Re: A/C Idle Up Out not activating
Instead of the relay. One side should be battery voltage, the other side (the connection to the Megasquirt) should be ground when the A/C output is active. If you see less than 12V across the resistor then one side is faulty. When you measure each side to ground you'll find out which side is the pr...

Re: A/C Idle Up Out not activating
Use a 100R resistor as the load in place of the relay in the car's relay socket. Measure the voltage across it and measure each pin to ground. (I just measured a relay I have here - 80R) James James, you want the resistor across the relay coil terminals (relay removed)? Or across the relay output a...

Re: A/C Idle Up Out not activating
It's not the A/C system. pressure switch is fine. pressures are fine. it blows cold when 12V is provided to the relay output.Kennyx wrote:Assume i was wrong .. have you try check the a/c refrigerant gas pressure ? try pass-by trick on the pressure switch ?
