Re: The EFI Tuners Guide is now online-- Free Educational Resource on EFI Installation, Configuration, and Tuning!

Excellent feedback and suggestions Rick, thanks! It's certainly a big topic, and one that, if fully explored, will take quite a lot of effort to try and meet everyone where they're at. I'll continue to refine what I've got, and I wrote the first draft of Chapter 4 on Friday, I'll be going over it ag...

Re: The EFI Tuners Guide is now online-- Free Educational Resource on EFI Installation, Configuration, and Tuning!

For some concepts, I just need a good drawing that's attractive, and makes the concept it's illustrating clear. For instance in chapter 1 and 2, illustrations of the major components that make up an EFI system, and a computer controlled electronic ignition system. I could see someone using a tool li...

Re: The EFI Tuners Guide is now online-- Free Educational Resource on EFI Installation, Configuration, and Tuning!

Thank you! This is awesome, definitely needed in the MS community. It's also in the preferred medium of most folks these days! Thanks guys-- I'm getting ready to head out to my shop (where I can enjoy a cigar) to write chapter 4. Aiming to post that up next week. Chapter 5 is about halfway done, bu...

Re: The EFI Tuners Guide is now online-- Free Educational Resource on EFI Installation, Configuration, and Tuning!

Awesome Jerry! Thanks man, I'm pretty excited to get some more writing done on this. I'll probably lock myself in the shop with a cigar tomorrow and crank out another chapter if I can. Then format and illustrate it and try to get it going next week. I hope it's helpful to a LOT of people for a LOT ...

The EFI Tuners Guide is now online-- Free Educational Resource on EFI Installation, Configuration, and Tuning!

Jerry Hoffmann from DIYAutoTune.com here, I have jumped back into developing some new tech content to try and help you guys (are there any gals?) to be successful in your EFI projects. I've started this series I'm calling 'The EFI Tuners Guide' just a couple weeks ago and I'm cranking out the conten...

Re: ECU Temperature reads high?

It is just two resistors, what's your email address? I'll have the tech guys, probably Matt, contact you with the info you need. I'd post it here but I hate the idea of people having to open up these pro ECUs to change anything and typically that's discouraged. We will have a software 'fix' soon I t...

Re: ECU Temperature reads high?

There are a few ways to 'skin this cat'. We're working on something that may make it very simple for you all, with no shipping/resistor swapping required hopefully.

We'll keep you posted.

Re: ECU Temperature reads high?

Just a quick note to let you guys know I'm aware of this and we're looking into it-- and we'll take care of people if there was a problem there. Our final QA test rig is pretty extensive, running each of these ECUs on a live bench with real injectors/ignition coils (sparks flying), fuel pump, IAC, i...

Thanks for testing. Did you grab a log of this occurring by chance? A log and .msq might help James to determine what was going on there.

Re: MS3 pre-1.3 RC1 released

Updated our shop's Jeep (1995 ZJ Grand Cherokee) with the 5.2l V8 running sequential fuel and single-coil distributor ignition to the newly released MS3 1.3 RC1 today. This Jeep is running the MS3-Pro and has been running great for a while now on an older beta of the 1.3 firmware, and I noticed no d...

Re: MS2/Extra and TunerStudio usage patterns

I use TS much the way you do James. I DO NOT however disable "CurrentTune" and "Difference Reports". I do think that's a fair concern though (preventing overwriting a different ECU with a previous 'CurrentTune' and is a argument that it could be good to do so if that corruption i...

Re: MS3-Pro from DIYAutoTune died?

I've set up a warranty return. As noted in the documentation, if you're actually submerging the unit, it will need to be sealed with RTV silicone; the case is more like splashproof on its own. Which is exactly how it is advertised. At PRI when displaying in the aquarium we sealed with with a bead o...

Looking great James-- thanks! I'll have the guys drop by as well and offer any feedback they might have. As you know they're running into a need for PWM control right now on the MK4 Supra TT MSPNP development. They'll be excited to see this taking shape so quickly!

Re: MS3 Wiring Harness Worry!

That's part of what I'm struggling with Jean--- also notice the grounds are all pinned out in different places from how we put ours together. Between those two things, it seems it may not be our harness, but at the same time if Black 89turbo remembers getting it from us and hasn't ordered one from a...

Re: MS3 Wiring Harness Worry!

We'd just like to get the bottom of it if it was ours... At a minimum, even if it's 4+ years old and was one of the harnesses made by an outside vendor, we'd still want to discount that new replacement (which are all made in house now and have been for about 3 years, but that pic doesn't look like o...

Can you send us some more pics of the harness including some lengths of the wire? Also shoot us over your order number, we want to make sure you get taken care of. That said, it's hard to concieve one of our harnesses looking like that, we just checked off the shelf and they all look perfect, not a ...
