Re: MS2/Extra pre-3.3 beta 13 released

Would it be possible to add a 3D table for de-enrichments and a 2D table that would act as a scalar for the 3D table values? The decel enleanments seem to be oddly triggered and thus, I have stopped using them when tuning. It would be great to have it back, in a more usable form to gain the extra fu...

Re: [FW MOD] ms2extra 3.3.0a gslender v2.3

I am the one who requested this addition and yes this is on a turbocharged car that requires the quickest shifting possible short of causing physical damage and/or decreasing reliability. I played with closing the IACV during shifts, high enleanment of the VE table at low load, decel fuel enrichment...

Outstanding! Keep up the good work. I will be flashing this tomorrow and reporting back.

Re: Launch Control/Flatshift Modification

No. It would be good if you could list the mods that your ms have. that will let us know if there is and output free in your se up. Please see above. I had a chance to briefly try a few things out and this is what I found: When advancing the timing to 50+ degrees, it only had the effect of smoothin...

Re: Launch Control/Flatshift Modification

I current have PA0 running my check engine light. Can I add an additional parameter to the output port to power on when the pulse widths drop to 0 and have it also activate the launch control, in addition to the check engine light without having to make any modifications to the circuit?

RobZ wrote:Isn't it possible to adjust spark angle in that way, that the deceleration becomes smooth and constant?
I want to maximize the engine deceleration rate. Changing spark angle will not achieve this, spark needs to be cut completely.

Is this possible?...

Re: Launch Control/Flatshift Modification

The injectors are fine and yes it is a problem; it costs a tenth or two a lap depending on the track. All of my outputs are being used up for other things so it would be beneficial for me if this feature could be triggered internally when over run fuel cut kicks in.

Re: Launch Control/Flatshift Modification

And the consequence of this is? While fuel is certainly being pulled from the walls for some small number of cycles, it generally causes no issue. The RPM's initially drop slowly then quickly after the fuel has been burnt; by slowly I mean at a rate less than that later on during the deceleration e...

Re: Launch Control/Flatshift Modification

Fuel is still being sucked from the walls in my experience. I can control the rate of engine deceleration with timing even when in over run fuel cut, so that tells me that fuel is still entering the cylinder. It is coming from the fuel on the walls plus the few injection pulses being injected immedi...

Launch Control/Flatshift Modification

Would it be possible to have "Launch Control/Flatshift" be triggered when Over Run Fuel Cut engages? It would also be helpful if only the "Flatshift" option could be selected for this instead of "Launch Control/Flatshift" since I will not be needing to use the launch co...

Re: Major hesitation during specific conditions

I have put about 100 miles on the new firmware in various driving conditions except WOT and it appears to have fixed the hesitation problems.

Thanks for all of your hard work to resolve this issue.

Re: Major hesitation during specific conditions

That is great news! I wasn't trying to be pushy about it, it just seemed to me that the current solution was to alter injection timing and it was left at that in the thread so I wasn't sure where things went after that.

I appreciate you addressing this! :D Thanks again.

I was not referring to this thread but instead to the one he linked to where Jean was working on the resolving the problem he was having. Sorry, I should have made myself more clear.

Re: Major hesitation during specific conditions

You need to redo the test with the injection tables enabled but set to 360. It might be an angle that you are having a problem with like i was. It is a band-aid fix for it, but changing the timing might fix the problem. Good call. I enabled the injection timing table and set all of the cells to 360...

Re: Major hesitation during specific conditions

I started with batch injection and noticed no hesitation problems, I then moved to sequential injection with fixed timing at 360 degrees and noticed no problems. I then enabled the injection timing tables and the hesitation problems came right back. I disabled the injection timing tables and enabled...

Re: Major hesitation during specific conditions

While running batch fire with the 4 injector channels, it doesn't hesitate at all, anywhere. Overall driveability is much improved compared to sequential injection. If I free revved it and simulated the trigger that caused the hesitation while running sequential, the car would only de-rev marginally...

Re: Major hesitation during specific conditions

did you solve your sync lost problems? start from there if you have hardware problems it does not matter how many parameter you change the problem is going to stay. And you must know and understand that 3.1.1 is the stable release wich mean there are no mayor bugs and have been proven by various us...
