Re: Fuel pump negative trigger - works on DVM not on test li
"Ok so tried the jumper to pin 33 on the 40 pin main socket, and I get nothing out of pin 37. Weird, before it would at least read to 0 ohm to ground, now, it reads nothing." Again... I'm not sure what that means. A meter will always read something , if it is powered-up, connected, and fu...

Re: Fuel pump negative trigger - works on DVM not on test li
Remove the MS3 and MS3X boards and power-up the mainboard. Jumper 5V from the proto area to pin 33 of the mainboard 40-pin socket. That should turn on the fuel pump output; if it doesn't then we can be confident the problem is on the mainboard. That FP circuit is pretty simple, we should have little...

Re: Trigger wheels ands #1 tooth angle
Why did you try 150 in the first place, since the manual recommends 90-120? Have we really learned anything other than it is risky to not follow the manual?

James, what version of MLV are you using to see this? "Under "Options" in the Megalogviewer you can "Render including non-interrupt data" I just loaded the very latest version of basic MLV (registered) for Win8 64-bit and I don't have that in the "Options" tab. Wit...

Re: Trigger wheels ands #1 tooth angle
That's not making sense to me. If compression was slowing the crank abnormally, I would expect the missing-tooth time to look longer than normal, not disappear. Oh, I re-read the beginning, got it now. The crank is slowing before the gap then speeding back up right at the gap enough that the gap loo...

Re: Microsquirt V3 Initial Setup Questions?
I think you can always build the mainboard complete, although you will have to add some more wires if you want to use the "LED spark" output function. In fact I strongly advise that you do build it complete. It is hardly much more effort (no cost) and then can be re-purposed for use on oth...

Re: cranking timing greyed out
Yes, I think that is what Matt is saying; and it seems unlikely that it would kick-back at 0 for cranking timing. I gotta ask... what does the strobe light show for cranking timing?

Re: MLV upgrade no-go
It still doesn't work for me, stuck on "Lite". I will uninstall MLV and reload it clean as a download; will advise later tonight on how that goes. Edit: OK, I got it back, but it was am amusing process. I did the Windows "uninstall" on MLV, then went to your site and downloaded t...

Re: LPG wot stumble hesitation Cadillac 500
How many ohms are your injectors (individually)? If yours are the 1 ohm version, then driving four in parallel is a pretty large load, maybe even more than the standard board drivers are designed for.

Re: MS3X + LS3 Camaro + JBPerf v2.1 + Some Sync Error 2
My reason for suggesting trying the standard inputs is because they work fine, an extra board should not be needed. It seems you had (have?) some yet-unknown problem that the VR board didn't compensate for, maybe even made it worse.

Re: Microsquirt V3 Initial Setup Questions?
The Micro also includes a water-proof case, nice for bikes or rec vehicles, but of no necessity for a car. Whatever you end of using, put it in the cabin and away from engine heat. Yeah, some (all?) the MS products may be rated for 125C, but heat never really helps electronics so why tease it?

Re: Microsquirt V3 Initial Setup Questions?
Are you set on using the Micro? If so, I think that runs the MS2 extra MSQ with no need for any "conversion". Let's stop discussing the MS3 or its example project.

Re: Microsquirt V3 Initial Setup Questions?
Actually, the spark table from the MS2 extra example project looks like it might be better for that 2-valve SBF, but the MS3 should get it running with no problem. It looks like the MS3 example has less advance, probably more orientated toward 4-valve engines that have become common. Whatever you do...

MLV upgrade no-go
I finally went to install the latest today, and when it was complete my MLV had reverted to "Lite". Within the Lite, I found the window for activating a registration, and it is pre-filled with my correct name, email address, and reg key; but when I press "OK" for that and to rest...

It is not just the rpm that is going nuts. The battery voltage and CLT are also wild. I would be checking power and ground connections.
