Re: ms2extra 3.3.2 +luftvagon0.7 (AFR Table Switch + CLT + M
Sorry guys, I gave up on this idea. I do however know why the code is not working. The information is being stored/accessed from the wrong address in the memory, essentially overwriting something else. Please don't run this code. Instead, of "having" this code, I opted to go about adding a...

Re: Dead time for Bosch 0280150206 injectors?
This thread is worth in gold. Here are the most accurate numbers I got:
0.912 ms dead time
0.132 ms/V voltage correction

My drive crashed... as I was driving and testing, the laptop flew and hit the ground, and it corrupted the tune file, and OS files.
I just got it rebuilt with Lubuntu, and going to go test drive.

After learning about bitmasking, and getting familiar ini offsets and typedef constructs, I think I got it working..... Original thread updated.

Here is a teaser:
I finally figured out the offset, and range, so now things should go smother for me.

Re: ms2extra 3.3.2 +luftvagon0.1 (AFR Table Switch + CLT Con
Actually, let me build it again, and I'll get it reposted. I'll have to change it tomorrow -- again ;( I figured - it will have to be a 16bit value unless we change entire code (and ini) to not have "on, off" + source feature; but instead bundle both into single menu option, "Off"...

Re: ms2extra 3.3.2 +luftvagon0.1 (AFR Table Switch + CLT Con
Sorry about that.. i think this will do it.. I am still puzzled over this offset and range. It literally does not compute in my head.. I think this should work now.. It loads without errors, and all menus are present, and working accordingly.

Re: ms2extra 3.3.2 +luftvagon0.1 (AFR Table Switch + CLT Con
did you load the provided ini? it also sounds to me that you enabled dual table. it should be fuel1, fuel2, afr1 and afr2 with the correct ini loaded.

Re: ms2extra 3.3.2 +luftvagon0.1 (AFR Table Switch + CLT Con
The binary and pre-patched source code is included in the download link. I could make another patch where VE and AFR are two separate switch options. My brand new thermostat (Type4 "heating" flap thermostat) "leaked" out on me... My flaps are stuck open. Going to purchase a set f...

Sorry everyone, I kind got carried away and renamed this thread, and cleaned-it up, to make it more relevant. I didn't want to start a new thread, since no body posted, well, besides piledriver, which is relevant to what I was trying to accomplish.

Re: Cold Idle + Include Target AFR
How many maps do you want? WUE normally ranges from -40 to +100C; what intervals are you thinking of? What sort of utility does this offer? An AFR table runs from idle at closed throttle through to WFO and bouncing off the limiter - how often do you scream it with a CLT of -40? 0? +20C? The engine ...

Re: Cold Idle + Include Target AFR
What do you mean James? Is this a new feature that you are proposing?jsmcortina wrote:There is merit in altering WUE so that when "Incorporate AFR target" is turned on the WUE% would tweak target AFR. That would enable you to use closed-loop idle during warmup (if that works for you.)

Re: MS2 development/coding for dummies
Jean dropped me a mail on this too and highlighted the one line difference between the output. I made a change in the linker a year back to produce more optimal code which impacts that one line. It has no functional impact, but I can see the confusion. Bizarrely I'd got the OLD version of the linke...

I make little cheat for new dummies :) 1. Download and install VirtualBox . 2. Download and install PuTTY SSH client for work in console of VM. 3. Download and install WinSCP SFTP client for coping files. 4. Download and unpack my pre-builded Debian VM with all tools for compilating. 5. Run and enj...

Re: Cold Idle + Include Target AFR
The whole point of "Include AFR Target" that it works as part of your VE Calculation. I don't think adding more WUE is what I need; albeit that would "resolve" my issue, but it will also screw up my WUE. Yes, I have fast-idle which helps when you have the right amount of fuel. My...

Re: Cold Idle + Include Target AFR
Mine idles at 600RPM cold @ 13:1.
At 11:1, it's right where it needs to be.
But the whole point is, if I change my Target AFR to 11, it's perfect. That means WUE is spot on. Touching the AFR target, changes everything.

Cold Idle + Include Target AFR
2.0 Type4 CV Vanagon Engine. I've set my idle AFR at about 14AFR (900-1100,45-55 kpa). It idles great when warmed up ~1000RPM, however it runs poorly on cold start (~600RPM) or so.. Not an air problem, but fuel problem. Changing the idle AFR to 10-11AFR, it starts perfect, runs perfect, cold or warm...
