Did you mean programmable outputs instead of inputs? If so, then yes you can set PTE4 and 5 as programmable outputs the same way as PTE2 and 3. You can use any pin or virtual I/O shown in the pull down menu in the output selection window.

Re: PWM Control MS3PRO to TinyIOx over CAN
I will need to see the TinyIOx msq because there is nothing in the MS3 msq you posted (nothing CAN related). I will also need to see a datalog which shows the issue with both MS3 and TIOx data related to the issue.

Re: Megasquirt Knock Module
Since you're posting in the MS2 section, I assume that's what you have. You should know that the knock module is exclusively for the MS3 so regardless of availability, you cannot use it. With the MS2 you need an external unit.

Search for V10 or V12 (section 3.6.3 of the hardware manual).

Re: Yamaha RZ1000 2 stroke new design
This is not an MS issue. You need to think about this another way: imagine you have a toothed wheel on each crank and that TDC come together instead of what you want. The wheels and sensors are positioned so that each TDC correspond to the same tooth number on each wheel, let's say teeth 4 and 22. Y...

Re: Yamaha RZ1000 2 stroke new design
Why do you say it needs to be reversed? Unless you actually want to have ATDC on one pair and BTDC on the other pair. If that's the case then ignore the following. If not, the fact that BTDC is on one side of the engine for one pair and on the other side of the engine for the other pair is irrelevan...

Re: Yamaha RZ1000 2 stroke new design
The rotation direction is irrelevant. The ignition events will happen at some interval and the ECU will fire the coils at some degree of rotation regardless of which direction the crank is going. You will have just one input tach signal and after or before TDC will be correct because it is relative ...

Look at the NMEA format. That's not seconds but the decimal part of the minutes (which you can convert to/from seconds).

Forget about the coils. What is connected to your CAN bus? You have a CAN bus error and your msq has some weird CAN settings so tell us about your CAN bus configuration and devices.

Re: MS2 V3.0 Onboard Injector Circuit Used/Mod'ed for Logic Level Drivers for Sequential 4 Cyl.
I missed that in your original post. And as you said, there is no need to cut traces or lift pins. But you do have to connect to the right places as I mentioned and not use the wrong pins for channels 1 and 2 (which are from the output of the NAND gates which would mix channels 1 and 3 and channels ...

Re: MS2 V3.0 Onboard Injector Circuit Used/Mod'ed for Logic Level Drivers for Sequential 4 Cyl.
Have you made the modifications needed on the MS2 card? These are essential for getting all 4 injector channels. And you cannot use PWM0-1 and PWM1-1 to drive the injector drivers; you need to use fb_inj1 and fb_inj2. Remove R32 and R36 and use the correct pad to connect to the gate (or base) of you...

Re: [feature request] selectable sensor for fan control
It also is a shame that the MS3 allows only 16 CAN generic inputs because all these electrical paramaters can be sent via CAN to the ECU (my 16 channels are used up for 4 Wideband and 12 EGT inputs) I did ask for an increase of the number of generic CAN input in feature request but as far as I know...

I only have the bare boards without components. The demand is not sufficient for me to keep a stock of components.

Re: PWM Control MS3PRO to TinyIOx over CAN
The following assumes that you have a TunerStudio project set with your MS3 as the main controller with the TIOx as a CAN device. If you're not sure what that means let me know but basically you have an MS3 project and you have added a TIOx on the CAN device section of the project properties. To set...

Re: PWM Control MS3PRO to TinyIOx over CAN
If only want to use a light or a LED, you actually don't need a PWM output but simply and on/off output. For that, you can use PTE2/PTE3. If you want to use a buzzer, you will need to use a PWM output set to around 1kHz and have the duty cycle set to 50% when a variable threshold is reached and 0 ot...

Re: setup with 2 Injectors each Cyl.
Be very careful about power as indicated in the diagram above: DO NOT USE 12V if you don't have a 12V (external) board version or you will burn the chip on the board. If you have a 5V (internal version) use 5V as I indicated in my post. Also the diagram is for a Microsquirt so the outputs are differ...

Re: setup with 2 Injectors each Cyl.
I don't have a diagram at hand at this moment but you simply need to connect the VR sensors to the dual VR board (one for the crank signal and one for the cam signal) on the VR1+, VR1-, VR2+, VR2- pads. You also need to connect the 5V power and ground to the board; that can come from pads on the pro...

Then you can use the circuit in section 3.5.6 with the PN2222A transistor which should be more than enough (assuming it won't draw more than 0.5-1A).

Re: PWM Control MS3PRO to TinyIOx over CAN
The way you have it shown, you are creating a conflict. You either want to use the pins as PWM outputs or as programmable on/off outputs, not both since these are 2 different options (PWM or on/off). Since you want to use the PWM outputs, disable the on/off outputs. Also, the way you have it set up ...
