Filter histogram by hit count?

Post by exodus454 »

First off, I'm using MLVHD as a standalone log viewer for other platforms.

I haven't seen it yet, is there any way to hide histogram cells based on number of hits? Currently the only workaround I've found is locking cells and refreshing the data - which does work but is somewhat slow having to go through every single cell. Using "lock cells" in this manner also doesn't allow me to actually lock cells to prevent modifications for cell areas that I actually want to lock and not see data for since I'm using it to basically filter out areas that there isn't enough data for.

Also on the subject - it'd be awesome in a future release to be able to save and load the locked cells. It's aggravating that they all disappear when the program gets closed (ie. laptop battery dies). It's not a huge deal when you're working on small tables but some VE tables have an obscene number of cells and having to repopulate the locked cells manually is error-prone. Maybe having the option to attach them to saved histogram views would be great. I have a feeling there's more functionality to it if you're able to load a tune and interact with MS, but I've never been able to do that and it seems the feature is a little lacking.

Thank you!

Unfortunately you cannot filter on hit count.
The hit count is calculated by the widget, it isn't necessarily in the data. For example a hit on a scatter plot isn't the same as a hit on the histogram. On the scatter plot it is a hit pixel, on the histogram it is a hit cell.

That request has come before, we do need to come up with a solution of some sort.
