MLV/TS logging issue with Alhpa-N

Hi guys,

I performed a reasonably extensive search and was unable to find anyone else experiencing the same difficulties that I currently am.

This has never been a problem until I recently upgraded my Ms2v3 firmware from 3.2.1 to 3.3.1. In order to facilitate the upgrade, I updated my Tunerstudio at the same time. What's happening is that Tunderstudio is now logging my throttle position as "TPS" whereas before it was always logged as "TP". So when I go to open the datalog with Megalogviewer it has no idea what to do because "TP" is missing from the datalog. I'm not sure whether the change comes about from the TS update or the firmware update.

I'm guessing this may issue may not have effected many or any as I am running pure alpha-N for VE and timing.

The change has occurred in Tunerstudio/firmware, but I figured surely Megalogviewer should be able to accomodate such a minor change? Or am I thinking about this the wrong way? If I have posted this in the wrong area, my apologies. It may end up relating to changes being made to my firmware or TS, but once again I"m not sure.

I find it's a huge pain to open every datalog I take in Excel in order to modify the "TPS" column to "TP" so MLV can understand it.

I would be interested to hear your thoughts on what the best solution to resolve this matter would be.

That would have been a change in the firmware ini. I didn't catch that change. MLV will need to be updated to accommodate mapping the new field names.

In the mean time what you can do is create a custom field TP that is equal to TPS
Under the main menu:

Calculated Fields --> Custom Fields --> Add Custom Field

In the dialog:
Field Name: TP
Formula: [TPS]

Then when you open a log you will have both TP and TPS and MLV should be happy again.
