CB900F tuning using Shadow Tuner (.frd file to .msl file?)

Hi all,

So I have recently started tuning my bike since weather is now favorable... And I am stoked

Obviously, with a bike, hauling a plugged-in laptop around is kind of a pain. So I have been datalogging using Shadowlogger MS with a BT adapter and uploading to Shadowtuner.com to retreive my datalogg. The only issue is that I don't always have internet access with my laptop depending where I am on the road to be able to retreive my datalogg and subsequently tweek my tune and reload. ( I carry the laptop in my backpack or if going to work, use the laptop at work.)

So I have tried to simply retreive the datalogg directly fom my android phone using my USB cable. Although I seem to be able to convert the .frd file to .msl using Tunerstudio and the appropriate project for my Microsquirted bike, when I try to open the converted .msl logg file, I keep getting an error message relating to "ASCII" ???

I am by no means a computer wizard, but I have been able to get my project up and running, and I am able to datalogg and tune everything, it's just this issue of getting the logg files from my android phone into MLV without the use of internet...

Any ideas, suggestion or solutions?

Can you post the FRD and the converted msl?

Trying to post the .frd, but when I try to upload file into post, it says "the extension frd is not allowed" ??

I was however able to post the converted .msl file.

Try zipping the frd. The forum will allow that for sure.

That seems to convert fine. (using TunerStudio 2.6.0)

What version of TunerStudio are you using?

That's a good question, will find out what version I have when I gvet home tonight.

It is the version I downloaded in Feb 2014. So not that old.

I have version 2.5.05.

Guess I should download the latest version as a first step?

Maybe send / post the project you are working from.

So TunerStudio updated itself, now running 2.6.0.

Attached is my project's ini file (I am assuming that is what you were referring to?

Not sure why, but maybe the TS version I had?

Anyways, thanks for all the help. Files are being converted and seems to work!!! So now I keep tuning!
