Torque and Power graph is very ruff

Post by rabid »

Is this normal or is there something wrong? yellow is power and green is torque. Red is map (the jagged map signal is actually a boost control problem I'm working on). I've had this problem for some time now even before the boost issue.

@OP - sorry for a little side thread - but how do you get the Power/TQ reading at all - my logs show 0 for those two - (I tried the custom field for HP and filled all the values - do I have to fill other values somewhere?)

Thanks and sorry for the thread-jack

I think power and torque are part of MS3. I don't know how it is different from HP and TQ in megalogviewer. If you want HP and TQ you must go to the custom fields list and fill in the information boxes so it can calculate.

It looks like some additional smoothing of the HP curve may be needed.
You can apply smoothing to the field by creating a new custom field:

Field Name: Smooth HP
Field Formula: SmoothFiltered([Power])

You can double smooth also if you still want is smoother;
ex
Formula: SmoothFiltered(SmoothBasic([Power], 2))
