Quick Views Q's

Post by JAM »

Are quick views tied to a project or the software?
If I set the quick views in project X and then go to a project Y I can still select the quick views i have set in X but the fields are not right.

As as second question where are these quick views saved? can i take them to another computer or move them into different projects?

MLV doesn't save settings to a project, so they are saved to MLV user settings.

Is the 2nd project using a same/similar firmware so it has the same field naming?

You can export your settings under the file menu to put them on another computer.

it is looking at logs with earlier firmware than the project i set the quick view up on. i see some differences like "spark advance" vs "SPK:advance so i think that is it. I also realized that I need to reload the view because some of the fields that I have selected that still have same name like 'TPS' disappeared but reappeared on reloading the same quick view. Thanks
