MLV will not start

Post by wrenchdad »

Guys,

I can't get MLV to run, tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it but still get this error.

Java Virtual Machine Launcher
Error: Could not create the Java Virtual Machine
Error: A fatal exception has occured. Program will exit.

I am using the latest Java version also. Verified on Java web site.
Running a Windows 7 64 bit laptop. I am trying to run the 32/64 version as the 64 bit states during install that I don't have the latest Java installed.

thanks

Yes TS starts up, no issues,

Just a bit more info, MLV has been working on this laptop before, this is not a first time install.

thanks

Well it came back, but a reboot clears it up? Seems to happen when the laptop comes out of hibernation. SO is this my only way to get MLV to start, with a reboot of the laptop?

thanks wd

Hmmm, sounds like maybe a JRE issue?

So is it only after letting it go to sleep with MLV running, that it won't work again until a reboot?

Not quite, it only after letting it go to sleep with MLV NOT running, that it won't work again until reboot. IF MLV is running when it goes to sleep it will be running on wake up and I can shut down MLV and it will restart just fine.
