weird AFR readings....

Post by dragbug »

When I pull a log off MS3 using TS and convert it, MLV shows it as either .3 or .4. TS shows it correctly and so does MSDroid. If I log directly from TS the logs will show AFR correctly. It only seems to show weird when pulled off the SD card. Any idea?

Can you post a .MS3 file where this is occurring?

My bet is if you remove a logged field it will work right.

I'm not sure how, but it looks like your logged fields table is corrupt in that it contains MAP twice.
That is shifting the data alignment during transformation.

If you open TunerStudio, connect and remove something, then add it back, TS will fix your table.
This will only fix it for new log files.

However if you load an msq with the current corrupt table it will break it again.

That just confused me. Open TS and connect to my ECU. Remove something (remove what? From the log?) And add it back. OK....this will fix my current msq file right? It will corrupt again if I open a different msq later that has the corrupt information right? But my current msq would be fine after the fix?

I think there is an issue with my TS when I open a different project and then open a current project. It seems like it doesn't fully close the old project. I have gotten some odd errors in the past. I bet that is how this issue started.

Sorry, I skipped a bit of detail there.

Open the dialog:
Data Logging --> SD Card Datalogging

Remove a Field from the "Selected Data Log Fields"
Then add it back.
In reality any changes to what fields are logged will trigger TS to fix the corruption.

A project closing problem wouldn't be related to this. I am interested in understanding that better.

Thanks for explaining that better. I sorta thought that was what you meant.

Not exactly sure how to explain the project thing. Basically I made a test project so I could load random tunes to pull out settings I wanted to try. Then I would load my usual project and save those settings into it. But I started to get a lot of weird errors the next time I would load my normal tune. It was like some of the settings saved but caused problems even when I had the option checked for dependancies.

Your solution fixed it. However, that raises another question. When I try to remove one of the data log fields, it doesn't show removed in the box. I don't get any error it just doesn't leave the box. Adding one does remove from the list of available but then again, trying to remove it as detailed above, doesn't visibly work.

You mean MAP?

That is because MAP was in there twice, so when you removed it, there was still another in there.

No. I didn't even try to remove MAP. I tried to remove Time at first but it didn't show removed and I didn't see it in the available to add list. So I selected Power and it immediately added it to the selected fields. I tried to remove it and it remained in the selected fields list.
