I did a quick search and didn't see this question so here goes.
This question is in regard to the new engine state features being developed in MS3 V1.5 alpha code.
I'm looking for a way in MLV to create a "composite" trace that includes all 7 engine states decoded into a single trace. If you have ever used a digital logic analyzer you may know what I'm referring to. Some way to treat the discrete state values as bits in a bus and decode the bus value in only 1 trace. It's really inconvenient to require 7 traces to see all engine state values. I believe the state values are all mutually exclusive to this should be possible.
I've looked through the MLV help and a solution to this was not obvious to me.

Re: MS3 V1.5 Engine State Display
Sounds like something that can be created using a Calculated field in MLV. Create a new Calculated field that use logic conditions to check the bits for each state and set the calculated field to values 1-7.
Or this could be put in the ini file and logged directly by TS.

Right now they are logged separately. They are all in 1 byte, so they could be logged together and then split using the math feature
Megasquirt is not for use on pollution controlled vehicles. Any advice I give is for off road use only.
