AFR table wrong Y-axis

Post by Dennis_Zx7r »

I use ITB algorithm for fueling, but my AFR table uses TPS% as load. However, MLV 4.1.07 displays ITB as load at the AFR table.
Can this in any way mess up VEAnalyze?

Edit: Hovering over the generated VETable, i can clearly see the targeted AFR displayed is wrong, and therefore I assume the generated table is compromised as well - I assume the values are calculated based on the target AFR.

Right Click on the Y Column of the AFR table, select Y-Axis Over-ride.

Enter the field name you want it to track to. It is case sensitive.

Alright, thanks. Works like it should now.
As a suggestion, why not read the 'afrload' from the MSQ as the default setting?

Because that doesn't exist in many firmwares. It was added, but only a small minority of people use it..
There will be handling put in for it though.

Ok, the problem ist fixed in MLV by overriding the AFRLoad as you recommended, and displays correctly when scrolling through the log.

However, in VEAnalyze, it still persists and trashes my poor VE table :?
Setting the override in VEA again doesn't change anything, even if it seems to accept the override, as TPS is displayed when hovering over the YAxis. VEA still shows the TargetAFR based on Load instead of AfrLoad (Override: TPS).

It should be respecting the Over-ride field in VE Analyze also. There may be something else wrong.

Can you post/Send a data log and msq or are the above still valid examples?

Sorry, forgot it in the previous post. Of course, here you go.

Edit: Tableswitching based on RPM is enabled, but I only use one AFRTable, therefore the higher numbers in the AFRTable.

I just tried it out with the original files.

On the main menu, I selected:
Options --> Default Y Axis Field --> Load

Then:
- set the lower table to afrTable1
- Right Clicked on the AFR tables Y Axis, set Y Axis over-ride to TPS

- Opened VE Analyze.

By holding the mouse over each cell you can see what AFR it is targeting.

It appears that the VE Table is respecting the over-ride, but the AFR table is not. It is using what ever load the VE Table uses.

Actually with more digging, it is using the correct AFR during VE Analyze, the tooltip value is set based on the VE Table load, well because it can't be set correctly as there can be many target AFR values for each cell depending on TPS at the time.

The output VE table does seem to be correcting properly.

What seems to be going wrong when you are running it?

I have no data making me think the analysis itself is wrong at this moment. My assumption that there was something wrong was based on displayed (wrong) AFR, which didn't match my table when I just checked them - just like before I learned about the YAxisOverride.

That's a relief to hear. Thank you!

Ok... Good to hear..

I really should blank out that tooltip AFR when the loads for AFR and VE are different. That confused me into believing it wasn't working right as well.
