Dashboards

Post by Six_Shooter »

Is it possible through some feature I have not found yet to import dashboards from TunerStudio to use in MLV?

If this is not currently an option could it be something to add in the future?

Sometimes I prefer looking at the gauges/dashboards when scanning through a log, instead of histograms. I've used other tuning software for other hardware for a long time where this is possible and sometimes I catch stuff when I see a needle on a gauge jump when playing the log back that I miss in histograms or CSV files.

We also spend a lot of time creating these wonderful dashboards in TS that some of us never really get to take advantage of, because we can't drive and tune (watch the dashboard) at the same time, unless TS gets installed on a tablet or other such device that is then (usually) used to replace the original gauge cluster. For some that's not an option...

This can also be a great way to test out a newly designed dash, while the built in demo (in TS) is good, sometimes it might not show off something that could be confusing or poor layout where a real datalog could show the gauges and indicators reacting in real world ways, without needing to test in car.

Been wondering the same thing myself. Seems I can only adapt gauge display when connected to TS which is difficult to mod correctly even when using tablet. Would be nice to mock up display while sitting on the couch and fine tune once connected. Always thought I was missing something until I read your post.

Nope, no dashboards. That has been on the todo list for quite some time though, hopefully I will get to it.

Ok, good to hear that it's a thought, and hopefully it'll move farther up the list. ;) ;) :D
