Duty Cycle 1

Post by Rngr4x4turbo »

Can someone please tell me what DutyCycle1 and Duty Cycle 1 represent in MLV? I believe the first is the injector duty cycle? There seems to be several of these fields that I haven't been able to locate the meaning of. The only help file I've found for MLV is a small online one that covers VE tuning mostly. Is that all the help file there is?

They mean exactly the same thing. Injector Chanel 1's duty cycle %. There are more than a few different processors and code variations within the MS range that tuner studio has to cater for. Each version has it's own ini file and the definitions for some things that are logged are slightly different for different processor/code versions.
The specific manuals do have definitions for what is datalogged in current codes. This, for example, is from the MS2(3.4.x) manuals section's, Tuner Studio manual. http://www.msextra.com/doc/pdf/html/Meg ... .4-47.html
Find the Manuals up top under Quick links: Manuals. :RTFM:

Thanks a million. I have ms2, v3, DIY with 3.4.2 FW.
That makes sense except DutyCycle1 in MLV displays a much lower number(100%) than Duty Cycle 1 and even though I use 2 inj channels Duty Cycle 2 shown in the guide your link leads to doesn't exist in my MLV and isn't in the list of fields to be displayed. Channels 1 and 2 probably match so that isn't important. TS ultra also only shows outputs Duty Cycle 1 and Duty Cycle 2 as a gauge option. Which one of the DC1's is accurate in MLV, DutyCycle1 or Duty Cycle 1?

Never mind...Duty Cycle1 appears to be the total DC for all 4 injectors. DutyCycle1 is DC for 1 injector. The lines are overlaid on the graph even though the ratio numbers are different and seem to be related to how many squirts/alternating, simultaneous you use.

That seems very confusing, where are these additional rogue duty cycles coming from?

Are you looking at the Duty Cycle1 from under optional fields?

If that number isn't matching what is already in the log, it is most likely the "Number of squirts per engine revolution" is set incorrectly.

That optional field is there for setups that aren't already logging it directly. Yours is already logging it from TunerStudio. I would turn that back off and just use the one that is already in the log file.
