AFR versus AFR target - feature request

Post by Marek »

This is probably as much for TSultra as it is for MLV - any graphing programme.

Given that we have a lambda delay table, is it possible to have the option to make the graph display the AFR adjusted back in time by the lambda delay table? This would mean that, in theory, the AFR target trace and the recorded AFR would line up against each other exactly if the delay table is corectly set.

I think this would be a help with tuning or at least assist in seeing the dynamic environment better.

kind regards

It would be a bit of work to put together, but you could do this in TS using the historicalValue() and tableLookup() functions... Except the lambda delay table would need to be a normal controller or PC variable table for the tableLookup function to work.. And the Lambda Delay table is not a normal table..

So you could make your own representation of a Lambda Delay table in a custom.ini using PcVariables, then reference that.

Or would it be easier to display every other variable bar the AFRs "late" by the current lookup in the delay table?

kind regards

Apply lambda delay to graphed AFR

Post by bkubisht »

I know this is a pretty old thread, and poorly named... but I find myself wishing for this exact feature since actually figuring out what my lambda delays are.

My first cut was to emulate just one cell of my lambda delay table, by creating a calculated field of [AFR+7] since my AFRs were about 7 frames late at the particular RPM/MAP being scrutinized. But it seems reaching forward by seven frames for a value doesn't work the way reaching backward seven frames does, it didn't shift.

Since that didn't work I'll have to learn about .ini files and PcVariables.

What would also be spiffy is if the lambda delay table was kept in the msq as a single copy that's for both TS and MLV.

I am trying to offset my wideband trace and it only seems to work subtracting but that shifts the trace the wrong way. when i do [O2 #1+235] it doesnt shift at all.
is there a way to shift the trace in megalogviewer hd?
I am using an AEM Series 2 so i dont have any kind of offset table in my ecm, i just export the log as csv and open it in mlv.

It currently only shifts backwards, not forward.
The shift is done at load time, so it can reach back for previous records, but the forward records aren't loaded yet.
