TPS ADC logging backwards
Im having an issue logging TPS ADC.
I am using ms1 extra with tunerstudio and i am tuning using alpha-n.
the y axis of my ve table ranges from 100 at closed throttle and 250 wot.
when i take a data log then open it in megalogviewer it shows idle at 250 and wot at 100 adc.
Has anybody seen this before?
i have tried both a ccw tps and a cw tps and tried wiring it around the opposite way which just makes the adc in tuner studio operate backwards and the data log still sees idle as 250 tps adc.
I am lost as to where to go from here.
any help is appreciated.

Re: TPS ADC logging backwards
do you logg the TPS ADC directly from MS, or is the TPS ADC calculated by MLV ?

Re: TPS ADC logging backwards
i didnt know there was two ways. I am using the standard logging profile that tuner studio has in it.

In Tuner studio, does your TPS work as expected?

Re: TPS ADC logging backwards
I have no idea what is "standard logging profile", but few years back when I tuned MS1extra, I used to add 2 rows to the end of msns-extra.ini
this adds TPS ADC and AFR Target to your datalogs, very useful..
Code: Select all
entry = tpsADC, "TPS ADC", int, "%d"
entry = TargetAFR, "AFR Target", float, "%.3f"
this adds TPS ADC and AFR Target to your datalogs, very useful..

Re: TPS ADC logging backwards
Check the TPS voltage - is it higher at full throttle than closed, or is the voltage backwards too?

Re: TPS ADC logging backwards
I'm guessing you are using the "TP ADC" field calculated in MLV.
Select the menu:
Calculated Fields --> Optional Fields 2 --> TP ADC
Uncheck that, then re-check it
You will be prompted for your ADC values at Maximum and Minimum.
I'm guessing you entered them backwards the 1st time as Maximum is on top.
