problems loading multiple logs

Post by kaeman »

I just did the lastest update to my megalog viewer HD (4.2.01) and now when I open multiple logs I get the headers do not match error when loading the logs from my sd card. It tells me the file headers are not the same, but all the files were made in a single trip to the city about 25 miles away, it takes about 3 logs to make the trip each direction, Plus the start and stop short drives between the restaurant and where my buddies and I hang out with our hotrods on Friday nights, then the logs for the drive home. At not time during the evening does the sd card get removed from the ecu until I get home and transfer the files to the laptop. this only started after I made the last update to my HD version software, the non HD megalogviewer doesn't tell me I have the header file errors when loading the same files.
The other odd thing is that after telling me it isn't loading the files (eight of them), and trying to load them giving me the same error with each file it actually loads the files and has all 195,000 records, each file is about 30,000 records. I also tried loading just a couple files still gives the same error.

I get the errors too, with logs that didn't error before (I think I noticed the error earlier, but can't confirm).
Even though there are errors, the seperate logs still seem to be loaded combined without further issues.

Yes, I am reproducing this with MegaLogViewer HD.

I'll get a fix out.

A work around, turn off Field Name Standardization under the menu:
Options --> Field Name Standardization --> Use Field Name Standardization
