update to a 1.8 JRE or install the JavaFX libraries if you are using Open Java

When I've had this problem, trying installing a freshly downloaded version of TS or MLV from the official site That seems to sort out any Java funny. Even when it updates after doing this. You don't need to uninstall the old, and all your own files are kept.

The only way that will fix it is if an auto update went bad, which is pretty hard these days.
Otherwise you are just deleting files then putting the same ones back and wasting your time.

Of course, just email.

There was a release of TS a while back that had a JavaFX dependency in the shared core. It was our belief that JavaFX was part of the 1.8 JRE. It turned out that wasn't true, with OpenJDK as used on most linux PC's JavaFX has to be installed separately.
I believe the current version of MLV is using this shared library as well. The next release will have it removed.

I am assuming so. It has the JavaFX dependencies removed.
