LPG leaning out when hot
I am running a dual fuel setup and it is running fine on petrol. On LPG also till the temperatures in the engine bay rise. After a long drive and running idle it starts to go lean and i am getting ego corrections between 120 en 150%. The Mat table is set on Petrol and max correction on running on LPG when it goes lean is 5% ( 95% on the dial). The problem I thinks is that the LPG vapour heats up and contains less molecules ( read a figure of 12% less between 20 and 60 degrees celcius). Most of the factory setups have a temp sensor in the gas flow to correct this. Is there a way to do this in Megasquirt?
Re: LPG leaning out when hot
You could use the fuel pressure and temperature correction built into MS3 or attempt to apply some sort of correction only if not on petrol, if you stay with MS2.

Re: LPG leaning out when hot
Is LPG as sensitive to intake air temp as gas?
Would it be possible to use the IAT input to trim the LPG for fuel temp?
In other words, switch the Gas IAT to a fuel temp in LPG mode?
Another possibility would be to use coolant to normalize/stabilize the temp of the LPG?

Re: LPG leaning out when hot
is this liquid injection or vapor injection?
Re: LPG leaning out when hot
It is vapour injection. As it is a gas it behaves like inlet air, hotter = less molucules. Need to make correction like the MAT table with an extra temp sensor and it must be switchable.
Re: LPG leaning out when hot
Maybe wiring a PTC sensor in series with the iat sensor, only the linear curve of a PTC may be a problem.
