Maybe you can start a thread in the success stories section. I'd be interested in having more details about your setup. Are you running semi-sequential or sequential? And are you using 2 wideband sensors to set the correct injection timing?

I'm a little late to the party, but just upgraded to MS2 after running the MS1 cpu for a year and I don't know why I didn't make the switch sooner.

1989 Camaro RS 2.8L, Turbocharged at 8psi, built 700R4 for 600HP+, Full standalone MS install (no going back to stock), Running MS2extra 3.3.3.
Just put the MS2 chip in yesterday, took pics of all my settings screens to have an easier reference to copy over and just imported my SA, VE and AFR tables.

Took it out on a 12 mile tuning cruise and the AFR is already super stable and the tune is already 75% better than it was on the MS1.

Videos to follow soon! Only the front mount intercooler left to mount and I will be taking it to the track at 15psi. Its already faster than a SBC with some bolt ons at 6psi. Can't wait to see what it does. A similar setup has been deep into the 11's in the 1/4, but thats with a FWD aluminum top end.

The engine that the MS2 will really shine on is going to be the RWD 3.4L with a FWD 3100SFI top end and corresponding 3400SFI pistons to keep the CR around 9.5-1, a T4 turbo and 20-ish psi. It'll test the transmission I rebuilt, LOL.

EDIT-Old pics BTW

GM ZZ383 crate engine, Holley Stealthram, 58mm TB, 36lb injectors, 1 3/4" headers, LC-1 Wideband
MS2-Extra 3.3.2 (I think)
Not running any ignition control currently, but will change that soon.

This thing runs awesome! I've been playing with MS for a long time, but kept having mechanical problems with my car not related to the EFI. I've finally gotten past the mechanical problems. Haven't been to the dragstrip yet, but hoping for low 12s/high 11s. On the street, it just runs great. I'm loving MS2-Extra. :-)

1958 Cushman Eagle
Cast iron flat head, stock stroke and bore, 320 cc
Turbocharged, methanol fueled
MicroSquirt, MS2extra with PWM idle and boost control
Cam triggered, LS1 ignition coil
Bluetooth smartphone data logging is pretty handy!
Kept the stock kick starter, which made it extra tricky to get it running! It starts on the mist provided by the priming pulse. Pre-indexing of the crank is mandatory as one kick stroke = 1 crank revolution.
Have had it running for 5 years now.
Performance: 17 psi boost, 6000 rpm, 1400F EGT/TIT, 80 mph.

Update on the Turbo Camaro.

Now running a T3/T4 hybrid turbo 60mm, got the front mount intercooler hooked up, and started re-implementing the stock GM stuff. Jacked the boost up to 20psi for awhile, then back down to 16 psi.

Still on the 2.8 which now has 317,xxx miles. Just bought a TIG welder to start building the next turbo headers out of stainless. Going to design the headers AROUND the AC system to put that back in. Also scored some roller tip 1.6 rockers and LS1 valve springs, along with the 3.4 camshaft, should help delay valve float at least another 1k rpms, which is really what these engines need to make power cause they like to rev.

Much much more to do. Kept up with a C5 Z06 at 20psi. Guy didnt believe it was a v6.

Hi All,

In the last two weeks I've swapped my old DTA Fast E48 ECU for a MS2 running MSExtra Software.

I'm using it in my Westfield with a Vauxhall C20XE red top engine with Jenvey Throttle bodies and a Ford Coil pack. This is running on a 60-2 wheel with a wasted spark setup.

The move from the old to the new is like night and day! The car is so much more dirveable and after a hefty batch of autotunes, runs up the revs verty fast and smooth!

Happy to supply the map if anyone is having intial setup issues with a similar engine

36-1 wheel on the Cam only
Seq Spark & seq Fuel
Subaru 3 Wire COP (FK0334)
Eaton M45, 10% under driven, reworked the drive shaft housing to drive on the other side rotor

still got lots of tuning ta do but Sounded friggin GREAT !!! :yeah!:

Hasn't been driven yet, but it runs. I put a 383 and 8 stack in my wife's 71 vette.

MS2 with 4 BIP ignitors inside, PWM Fidle and 2 more outputs for shift/idiot light and cooling fan
Chinese 8 stack, with plenum(s) added for Ford IAC and vacuum sensing
Dodge Neon 60 lb injectors and coil packs
Home made oil pump drive/distributor eliminator
Ford Diesel vacuum pump for power brakes and acc
Home made accessory brackets with Jeep tensioner
Home made 36-1 wheel welded to crank pulley (I have a CNC plasma table and lathe)
All on a advertised 430HP crate engine

I swapped the throttle bodies so the fuel rails are hidden in the middle. I'm making a nice carbon fiber air cleaner. You can't see the IAC. It's buried behind the linkage and under the fuel rails. Seems like my plumbing. The plumbing seems to work well. It idles pretty good considering.

I'm still working on a carbon fiber air cleaner

80's chevy 350 4 bolt main
rebuilt engine, rv cam
edelbrock 3502 tpi-mpfi conversion manifold (mounts modified to work on old style heads)
stock 350 tbi throttle body with injectors removed
tbi distributor with HEI module removed
msd 6a box and coil
lc-2 wideband with gauge

my buddy built the car and ran it half a year on a carbed setup, but never had it quite working right, typical carb issues. the motor is fresh, it just needed to be more reliable for track use so as soon as i bought it i tore off the carbed setup and on went the efi stuff. runs pretty good already on just a estimated tune, just needs some track time to dial it in.

1987 Rover Maestro running a Rover K series out of a Lotus Elise with 36-1 with an adapter ring on the flywheel, Ford Edis a VVC alloy inlet manifold and K series Turbo injectors. And it started first time to my utter amazement.

I'm a total newb to engine tuning, tunerstudio and megasquirt. An auto-electrician friend has helped me wired up the car and sort out how it all works. That said, it astounds me how few wires and sensors run the car well. I'm still learning to tune the car, but I'm well ont he way. I have no idea of power figures, but I've got just under 5psi of boost and the car is fun. I'm hoping to get up to around 14psi and to use the car for street and motorkhanas.
