Firmware Update Issue

Post by craigkenyon »

MS II v3.57 originally loaded with MS2/Extra 2.1.0 Updated firmware from that to 3.3.3 . Loaded msq file. Car ran great before. Now, hard to start, won't idle, holding the throttle open a set amount (thinking the IACV needs tweaking) the motor hunts up and down over 1000 RPM. Any ideas?

That's a big jump in firmware, did you read the release notes to see if anything significant changed?

I remember reading in the release notes that IACV settings need to be re-done at the very least.
There were a number of things to verify after upgrading.

Have a read of the txt file included with your firmware.
Do not load someone elses tune and expect it to work for you!

When I loaded it, I went through all the load notes and read me texts and checked off each item. I then loaded each page item manually but imported the VE, AFR and IGN tables. Didn't run. Imported the old tune and checked all items again. No luck. Then I disconnected the IACV and held the throttle plate open in a fixed position, still had problems. Now, I would like to reflash the old firmware, and reload the old tune to see if I have some other issue that just happened to happen at the same time.

Does anyone have the files (and loader) to load firmware MS2 Extra 2.1.0?
