Flex fuel sensor reading flucturating ethanol percentage

Post by robinpipirs »

Hello!

I dont know if this is some problem, but the reading of the ethanol percentage gauge in tunerstudio dash is jumping / flucturating 1-2% up and down even when the fuelpump is on.
anyone else megasquirt behaves the same?

The sensor is a continental flexfuel sensor and the megasquirt is a megasquirt 2v 3 with a pull up circuit built on the protoboard.

How do you have the sensor grounded?
Volvo 940, 2jzge, MS3Pro, daily
240Z, 2JZ, MS3Pro boost control

It's grounded to. Signal ground like coolant temp, tps etc

Tried changing sensor same results. Problem is that e85 fuel correction jumps sometimes and pretty far.

Ok! After thinking a little.. I think my issue can be that my sensor is connected after the FPR and I can clearly hear air. So I'm gonna check for airleaks or put it before the FPR.
The issue was that during tuning last time the tuner said that he got some really big fluctuations which gave some very hughe e85 correction values. I guess it can be air bubbles... :)
