Hall Effect sensor won't give signal with composite logger
I recently switched to a hall effect sensor after I believe my VR sensor failed me. I installed a Cherry GS1001 geartooth sensor in place of the VR. The trigger wheel is a 24-1 missing tooth setup that is on the flywheel of the bike. I have verified that with a 1k pullup resistor the output switches from around .25v to 4.87V when turned by hand. I've tried wiring it several ways and I keep getting: "Empty read, No Data Received from Controller" in tunerstudio. I've tried wiring the ground of the sensor to OPTOIN- and the signal to OPTOIN+ with pullup resistor. I have also tried this while grounding OPTOIN- to sensor ground. I just recently tried hooking up signal to VRIN+/VRIN- while the gnd of the sensor was still grounded to sensor ground. I don't have a scope currently so I don't know for sure what the signal looks like. I'm assuming I'm making some type of wiring error here? Any thoughts? I have a microsquirt v2 running MS2/Extra 3.4.2 release

Enable PORT_STATUS in your "Project Properties" -> Settings. Then add a dash indicator for PORTT0. This should turn on or off depending on the input voltage on pin 24. Test that with the engine stationary.

Okay, I enabled the Port Status and dash indicator. It was green. So I'm assuming that means it's high by default. Do I need to reverse it?

Does the indicator change when you change the input signal?

Re: Hall Effect sensor won't give signal with composite logg
The indicator isn't changing as I spin the engine by hand. Did you mean another way of changing the input. The indicator just stays on the entire time I spin it. When I did the same thing by hand my multimeter did read changes in voltage from the sensor output.

UPDATE: Okay I have signal here is my msq and datalog
I do get a sync but it occasionally loses it. Anything stand out? I haven't tried to fire it this is in cranking. Still have to hook the exhaust backup before I try to fire it up.
