I've been checking things off the list.
Battery tested good.
Stock starter checked out too but replacing anyways (10.1 solid roller)
Replaced spark plugs
Re phased distributor (have a suspicion this is where my error was)
Re wired jumpers for R26 to IGBTIN

Let us know how it works. I never phased my dizzies but didn't think it was a big deal. don't even know if mine can be phased..

Yea i didnt either the first time and it worked.....maybe the msd dizzy is just more particular than the pro comp i was using at the time. Ill let you know how i make out. I also ordered a high torque mini starter that arrives tomorrow so hopefully that helps cure some of the electrical strain my system is having.

I wanted to update you OP and let you know that I think my issue is largely resolved. After redoing my VR sensor wire with a better shielded pair, I only had noise during cranking rather than all the time. I had been emailing Matt about it and he suggested playing with the "skip pulses" setting, which appears to have fixed my issue (going from a setting of 3 to 5). I also played with the noise filtering but it didn't look to make a difference. With skip pulses modified, I was able to turn my gain pot down a little and my idle smoothed out as well.

Hey 5.0 Thunder,

Thanks for letting me know that all seems like logical fixes. I got the mini starter wired up but didn't make it much further cause this Texas weather is really nice right now so i was taking full advantage of the pool this weekend. I hope to get my sheilded wire wired up to my dizzy to help further reduce noise interference then give it another crack.

It has been nice! I'm in houston full time and dallas every so often to visit family and both have been pretty awesome lately.

I'm near the jersey village area, also on the west side. I think we have a few mustang megasquirt users here on the west side of houston

Wow......unfortunately no dice.........absolutely no stumble what so ever with starting fluid????????

Re wired board per manual
installed sheilded wire
fresh starter (turns the motor over much better)
good battery
Re set the distributor
fresh spark plugs gapped at .026 (NGK somthing)

getting a nice rpm on the log viewer, but still not trying to start??
See anything in the log or tune??
