Injector doesnt close?

Post by wewerica »

Hello everyone,
maybe Im posting on the wrong place but I have an issue with my corolla 4AGE engine.

I have some issues with injecting... cylinders #3 & #4 are not firing as they should and spark plugs are black.

I've changed distributor arm and distributor cap. Checked injectors. All good
Compression on all 4 cylinders are great (~190 PSI)

Compression test on all 4 cylinders is the same

Spark plugs on cylinders #3 & #4 are like this on #1 & #2 are normal.

Tried:
- replaced injectors
- check old injectors with Tunerstudio INJ test tool, all injectors are "clicking"

Is it possible that DIYPNP has some problems?

Maybe I've forgot something to write.

If you swap the injector wiring around, does the problem follow the injectors or the wires?

I don't know a lot about the DIYPNP. Best to discuss with your supplier.

I have a DIYPNP, some of it is the same as yours.
It's not injectors, it's ignition. Plugs are not firing.
Double check the docs for yours, see section DIYPNP Jumper Configuration

I've changed distributor arm, cap and spark plugs but no luck. Tried with cables too.

Checked the injectors all working as they should.

Checked connection between injector connector and ecu connector, its fine.

Get inline spark tester.

Why do I need this?

Spark is ok on cylinder #3 when I switch connector from injector #2 to #3. Cylinder #3 works like this.

You stated:

If the injectors are functioning, then it must be the spark plug that's not.
How did you determine that spark is okay without using a spark tester?

Problem are injectors #3 & #4, they are on one channel.
Just for test: I've switched places connectors on inj #2 & #3. And got cylinder#3 to work

it sounds like it may be a hardware issue on the injector driver
