2109cc Boosted Bug won't start...
Hi to all,
Recently I upgraded my 1970 Beetle from 1776cc to 2109. The car has NEW everything except for the engine block. Anyway, The car has been down since 8/16. I started the car on 6/17 for the cam break-in process for 20 mins or so at 2000 rpms more or less with no problems at all. Two days later a friend came down to my house to help me with some stuff and I turn on the car for aprox. 10 mins. and it die instantly.
The battery was have dead after 3 charges, so I went to buy a new one since the test in Advance Auto revealed "dead cells". So, It's not the battery .
For now I checked for vac leaks in the manifolds and it was ok, did the spark test on MS2 and side A and B make spark. The injectors work since one side was leaking after intake install #2.
Today, I moved the crank sensor a bit outward from the wheel since it was almost touching it. Tried to crank and NADA.
I made a log while cranking.
Thank you for your time...If anything else is needed please post.

1970 VW Beetle with 2109cc turbo with MS-II v3.0, wasted spark with MSD coilpack, dual table, launch control and 3.88 tranny. Anyway, runs great can't be more reliable than this. All done by me... t03 running 48lb. Injectors, Intercooler, W/M injection at 15psi for now.

I knew one was missing.
I just opened the MS2 and played with the POTS. I got a backfire once.

What kind of trigger setup is it?
Edit: configured as 36-1
Your trigger log definitely doesn't seem to be reflecting that setup.

Hybrid,
Thanks for looking.
It's configured as wasted spark with a 36-1 trigger wheel.
It was running great until 8/16. I didn't touch anything then it suddenly died.

First port of call would be the crank trigger I think.
The trigger log is definitely not showing a 36-1 wheel.

Can you do just a tooth log instead of a composite log?

Suppression wires (low resistance wires are not suppression wires) and resistor plugs
Correctly identify your MS ecu here
Read the Do's and Don'ts to avoid the common pitfalls before starting your install or asking for help
Use only these manuals other manuals may cause brain damage or worse.

The wires came with the coilpack. They are new and the plugs are a resistor type,rickb794 wrote:Suppression wires (low resistance wires are not suppression wires) and resistor plugs

Spiral wound low resistance wires are not suppression wires.
Google "spiral wound plug wires problems"
The first result is "Truth About Ignition Wire Conductors"
https://www.magnecor.com/magnecor1/truth.htm
There are a lot more results worthy of reading.

I just made the tooth logs. I have a VR sensor on the car.
