You've got some weird stuff going on with PW in those logs! Can you post the MSQ those were made with?

It appears that you are running B&G code! Are you aware that they have their own, separate forum?

I'm thinking that it might be better (in terms of help/support) for you to switch to Extra code.

It's still a MicroSquirt no matter how old it is! All the info you need to load The latest code is covered in the manual at the top of this page.

Ken

As I said, you are likely to get more help on this forum if you are running Extra code...............

I took a stab at creating an MSQ for you. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK.

I looked up the HP/TQ specs for a stock 1988 454 (230 hp @ 3600, 385 tq @ 1600) and used the AFR and VE table generators. I took the spark map from my small-block and pulled 10 degrees from the entire map since I have a performance engine and you have a truck motor. I went on the basis of 80lb/hr injectors that are common to the 454 TBI.** I use the same distributor. Yes, your wiring diagram looks correct. However, you may want to hook the Bypass wire (magenta/purple in your diagram) to TPS VREF to make sure it gets a signal.

I didn't know where to select Microsquirt -- I have an MS2. You might be able to use this, or maybe not. Hopefully one of the others can chime in here. If the other experienced members think this is a bad idea, I will delete it.

**80lb/hr is at 11psi of fuel pressure. Get a gauge and measure it. If you don't have one, you can probably get one from the Autozone tool loaner program. These are large injectors and 1 psi of fuel pressure will make a measurable difference.

It depends on which diagram you should use, since you still haven't confirmed which dizzy you have.

Again posting pictures of YOUR engine and parts used will help us to help you.

Pictures of the module inside the dizzy, and the dizzy itself will be good to help us direct you on how you need to wire it up.

BTW, the way I stated does indeed work, I've done it. ;)

What is the impedance of your injectors?

If they are low impedance (which Im pretty sure they are) how have you made them compatible with a microsquirt?
Correctly identify your MS ecu here
Read the Do's and Don'ts to avoid the common pitfalls before starting your install or asking for help
Use only these manuals other manuals may cause brain damage or worse.
