I have a 85 vw scirocco 8v and planning on swapping the motor to a 16v Turbo do you guys recommend ms2 or microsquirt? I have high imepedence Injectors but when I swap in the turbo motor don't know if I'm running high or low. Also I want to have a knock feature set up.

Only time I'd consider MicroSquirt was where space was at a premium. Ie, a bike, etc. Not on a car.

Re: Megasquirt vs microsquirt
Microsquirt also has less supported features. Guys always say "but I only want a basic" then after they get a taste they're in balls deep and want the flexibility of an MS2. How do get launch control, how do I get this or that on my microsquirt.

Ok so ms2 would be the better choice. Because the car is going to be a daily driver for a year then pretty much a race car after.

If you want knock control, go for MS3 with the upgrade or MS3-Pro.
