boost control on d15

Post by Tjohnson »

hello all, im trying to help my friend with his ms2, and have searched to no avail. i believe i already know the answer from reading the manual, but tunerstudio is contradicting.

can you run a boost control circuit from d15? tunerstudio shows it as an option, but the manual shows only fidle, iac 1&2, and js11 as options.

thanks in advance.

If TS has it as an option, I would say it can be used.
The manuals are not always perfect.

Obviously you can't run it directly from an output (except for an upgraded f-idle output). It will need a higher output transistor circuit installed.

we both thought since it was an option it would work, and he did build the boost control mod as per diys instructions.

but when testing it doesnt buzz. he has also verified its getting 12v switched power to the ebc..

Can you switch it on and off in output test mode?

If it doesn't work in output test mode, then something else is wrong.
Does the LED light up in output test mode, or is the LED gone now with the mods?

But D15 is not a boost control option in the port matrix in TFM.....?

Yes he did mention it's not in the manual, but you can select those outputs under boost control in TS.
Whatever the case, you should be able to switch it on and off in output test mode, and if you can't then something is wrong.
