Launch control ground switch

Post by Richharr »

from reading the manual, I'm going to do a ground switch and power the other side of the clutch switch. my question is only js7/pe0 and pe1 say they need a mod. can I just use js4, js5, js10 or js11 and not do any internal mods? also what are the pros/cons of using an analogue vs analogue/digital pin?

On MS2, all input pins require a modification to add a protection circuit.
The PE0/1 also need the jumper wire on the MS2 card.

When used as a launch inputs, all pins become a digital input, so pick one that it convenient.

thank you James, one more question. while searching I found some people use sensor ground, spare ground or chassis ground. the manual does say sensor ground so I can just splice into one of those and not have any issues?

Sensor ground is best.

Ok, just got all the parts, wired it up and used js4 and spare 4. Did the protection curcuit on the proto area. no mods to the ms2 card though. Car is wired already, but my exhaust is off and the kid and wife are sleeping so I wont get to test it till the morning. Thanks for all the help
