MS2 v3.0 Relay Control JS11(PA0)

Post by 9alex16v »

Hi Guys!

I have a problem with the activation of the relay to control the fan of my car.
I'm using js11(pa0) with the output circuit

Relay pin:

87 - Positive Fan
30 - Positive Battery
86 - Megasquirt 2
85 - Positive Switch

But fan is always on

Why are you not following the diagram you posted?

That would explain it (always on, that is), alright!

You need to decide if you are switching the positive or ground to the fan motor. That circuit shows the ground switched.

Personally, I don't like that circuit. I'd have a separate 12v with fuse for the high current fan motor. The 12v for the relay coil is low curent, and could come from the MS 12v side.

You configure the output status by setting the "power on value" and the "active value".
