Re: Ms2 extra help
Well, first that is an MS1 processor running old firmware so you didn't get what you were told. Second you'll want to find a configuration file matching the firmware, normally if you are connected to the internet while you're in Tuner Studio setting things up it will try to go online and find it for you. I'd try that first. If not you'll have to search the archives. You want to find an *.ini file that matches the MegasquirtnSpark Extra 026a****.

Re: Ms2 extra help
You don't need to get a tune.
You need to follow the MS1 manuals and enter all your engine characteristics.
The fuel and ignition maps that come with the ECU will be good enough to get it running if all your settings are correct.

Re: Ms2 extra help
So tell us a few things about your engine.
You say it's a distributor - how is the tach signal getting to the ECU?
Is it using the trigger in the distributor or something else?
Are you seeing any RPM in TunerStudio when you crank it?
Have you set up your required fuel by entering your injector and engine characteristics?

Oh and attach the MSQ from your project so we can check your settings.

Post some pictures of this ECU, please.Drifter851 wrote:my megasquirt is literally glued onto a stock probe gt ecu

It sounds like you're plugging this modified ECU directly into your existing wiring harness?

Re: Ms2 extra help
It sounds like you have a home grown PNP or a Stealth install.
You will need a wiring diagram for the Probe that shows you the pinout for the ecu.
Look at the inside of your MS ECU and see which main board version you have, there are three it could be, v2.2 - v3.0 or v3.57.
then you can determine how it should be wired.
Since you are using Extra firmware you should use the Extra manuals exclusively. http://www.msextra.com/doc/index-ms1.html
You also will get better help by moving this to the MS1 section of the forum as this section is dedicated to MS2.

Re: Ms2 extra help
i used the basemaps from diyautotune and made a few of my own but all have the same outcome. my engine is the 2.5 klde turbocharged on 8psi. stock dist no changes to it so its using the tach signal and trigger amd yes tuner studio was showing my rpms. i did set my fuel up and i pulled plugs after cranking to verify if there was fuel in there and there was. i used both the base maps fuel settings as well as mine. i can try to attach a msq when i get back to my shop after work

Re: Ms2 extra help
Ok, if you see RPM then that's the hardest part done IMO.
So something is wrong with your spark output settings, or your physical setup.
You should remove power to the injectors until you sort out your spark.
Have you used a timing light on the coil wire to see if you're getting spark at all? It may just be sparking at the wrong time.

the Three transistor like packages may be BIP373 (Bosch ignition outputs - "ignitors"), I don't know what the deice with the yellow wire connected is...
I don't think an MS1 has the capacity to drive those.
You can plug in a MS2 processor and party on or,
