Jumper D1 and D2?

Assembling a MS2 V3.0 board and not sure if I need to jumper D1 and D2. Going to use a 36-1 VR sensor and wheel and am using the EDIS ignition control module. In manual for the EDIS it says:

"use the Hall sensor circuit (step 50.a in the assembly guide) jumper D1 and D2

But in the MegaManual it gives two different directions for VR sensor vs. Hall sensor. Using the Ford EDIS Ignition Module and VR sensor input (wasted spark 4 cylinder) with NO cam signal just crank, should I use a jumper wire in D1 and D2 or install the components in step 52 of MegaManual.

Or maybe I am just reading it wrong and need clarification.

Don't use the Megamanual, it is obsolete. Use the Manuals linked at the top of this page.

Are you aware that using the EDIS module you will not get full MS feature support?

The EDIS trigger wheel and coil are great parts to use, but I would bin the EDIS module.

EDIS module support is a legacy left over from the v2.2 main board that did not have ignition output.

The BIP373 ignitor MS uses is a very robust part, and modern smart coils are also very good, either method provides full ignition control via the MS.
Also The "basic trigger" input that a EDIS module provides to the MS is no where near as accurate as a 36-1 wheel signal.
