Knock retard kicked in even though threshold is much higher?

Microsquirt, MS2/Extra 3.4.2 release
lilknockmeter with 0-5V analogue output connected to MS SpareADC. 0-5V digital output not connected to anything.
2.2 Turbo Dodge motor, known to be noisy

Would some one walked me thru knock detection in MS?
I have knock input threshold set at to 59.6% at 5000RPM and 69.4% at 6000RPM

At 5927 RPM (also had traction issue between 5700-6300 RPM) , 34.4% of knock in, 3 degree of knock retarded kicked in, then immediately, 3 more knock retard, than it drop 1 degree, waited 2 seconds to drop another 1 degree, until it gets back to normal timing advance.

What am I setting wrong? Because I don't think knock retard should have kicked in at all, since I set the threshold pretty high.
