Idle ain't running steady Close loop or open loop
Hi Guys,
I'm trying to get my cold start idle and warm start idle proper.
For the open loop it does rev higher and reasoneabely stable. Once touching the trhottle it drops down and
already tries to hold the warm idle setting [750] but drops even more low, cause it aint warm ofcource.
Trying to tackle this I entered Closed loop. I put the values as close as I can estimate now.
The initial idle values, however are not met. The table is way off to what it is doing to get the idle at the given values.
In this case touching the throttle will have it drop down to tandard idle and it wont get back into the desired rpm range
but is just sort of trying to get around standard idle rpm.
I can't seem to get my head around it to what is reqeired to do it right.
I did test the ICV valve for the settings in relation to PWM and rpm range.
But on the close loop situstion the PWM is reading way higher than is being read from the rpm. When slight throttle it
wil drop the pwm and rpm and sits around the proper PWM value to the RPM required. Than again it won't stay there
and makes a bit of a mess from the whole cycle.
I attached the closed loop log for those who might be able to give me some hints to the correct settings, or my problem here.
Thanks.

For the open loop I have the file here

Have you played around in test mode to see what the valve does?
Re: Idle ain't running steady Close loop or open loop
Get the valve working in warm up mode first so functionality is verifed.
Then enable closed loop idle and tune.
Then enable closed loop idle and tune.
Correctly identify your MS ecu here

Yes I established the max pwm that effects rpm whilst in test mode. At 90% is wil get into 13-1400 max.hybrid wrote:Have you played around in test mode to see what the valve does?

Re: Idle ain't running steady Close loop or open loop
Found this on another topic. I have a 3 wire bosch 0280140561 installed. Maybe it's doing that as well. So 39% would be closed and below open again.Marek wrote:....
Typical settings are fully open 80%; partially open between 80 and 39%; closed 39%; open again below 39%. Yours may be different.
kind regards
Marek
Might have not tested the full range properly. I'll try to see what it does.

Re: Idle ain't running steady Close loop or open loop
How have you wired the 3-wire? With resistor, or you built a circuit for it?

I have it wired on
1: 30 Ohm resistor.
2: 12 vdc
3: Fidle
