My engine 383 Tune Port injected with a Procharger supercharger running for 10 years on a modified Cyclone/typhoon ECM
I have been reading everything I can find for the last two weeks on setting up my system jumper wise. Just when I think I have it figured out I come across an different article saying do it this way. Here is my system, I built my Megasquirt 2 with a V3.0 board running Extra 3.4.2 and using the Megasquirt relay board, I have a stock GM HEI8 Distributor with R pin on control module to tach on R/B, G pin to R/B ground and I'm going to try B pin straight to vref without a relay to disable timing control and White wire from MSD 6AL to pin s5 .
My jumpers are - D14 to IGN
JS9 to S12C
all 4 IAC

XG1 to XG2 ?
TSEL to OPTDOUT ?
OPTOIN to TACHSELECT ?
Thanks

and MSD wiring is covered here in the manual,

5.3.5 CDI modules (e.g. MSD, Crane etc.)

You can use the HEI as just a source as long as it is locked.

I run a very similar setup. However, I'm wired a little differently. S5 goes to pin E on the HEI8 module. The - wire on the module goes to the white wire of the MSD. I have B tied directly into TPS Vref, same as you describe. Been working reliably for years.
