Suzuki Jimmy 1.3 Turbo engine G13BB

Post by botasjr »

hi
im planing to install a megasquirt 2 into a Jimmy 1.3 with engine G13BB year 2000

Does someone knows if megasquirt supports the original trigger from this engine?
or
i need to install a 36-2 trigger on the crank?

im planing to build a pnp adapter

at this moment im not sure, but i think the trigger pattern is like the picture attached

best regards

13 -2 16 -2 1 -2 = 36 teeth

Not sure if that is the same 36 -2-2-2 as Subaru or Mazda RX8?

Found this.

Associated with RX8 (renesis-rx-8-trigger-wheel)

Image

That came from a 10 year old RX8 Club forum regarding MS3.

That pattern may be hardcoded?
That it also works on Subaru suggests it was made compatible with piston motor configuration.

Not sure if the 36-2-2-2 was made fully adjustable or if that was ported over to MS2 code.
The MS2 manual suggests that pattern works with a Subaru also.
It may not be compatible with a 3 cyl motor though.

Lets see if Ken or one of the other developer types picks this up...

Also stumbled across this.

https://speeduino.com/wiki/index.php/Fi ... ems_hu.zip

Click on the date and it will download a zip file.
Extract the files and open the HTM file.
You will be rewarded with detailed wheel data from the VEMS wiki. :)
It covers a piston motor and shows #1 tdc position (4th tooth after the small gap)
So starting from after the 4th tooth count 12 teeth and that will be the second cylinder tdc and then another 12 is the third.
