Hi all. This is my first post. So please be gentle ;)
Last wednesday my car broke down....
But before that a little history ..
In November 2016 i picked up my 92 Red 1.6 complete with td04 conversion . The car is a rust free eunos imported around 2014. The closing remark of the previous owner just before i embarked on my 200plus mile dtive home on that rainy night was...” oh.. if it stops just flick the ignition switch to OFF then On . It sometimes does that” ??? Any way he was right. It does. All the time, but only at the beginning of a journey . Its like the ignition switch is turned off. It does not splutter. Just off dead. Turn the key off the on and away you go. Drive for 2-3 hours doe not miss a beat. Good as gold. Pull over for coffee and fuel same scenario . After trying in vein to seek out the root cause. It had become a mere Quirk of the car, and surprisingly i have come to ignore it. That is until last Wednesday. ( interestingly whilst in the hands of Dale at Bailey performace, and whilst the ms2 advanced was plugged into his laptop it did not raise its head at all, in all the stop starts on the rolling road. Only when back on the road did it come back) Anyway post Visit to Dale car has run like a dream except the stop start thing at the beginning of journeys. Until Wednesday when it stopped for good. Aftet the mrs. Towed me home i have bin unable to Start it at all. I have no spark. No fuel. ( dry plugs) Cams visually rotating through oil filler. Battery voltage good (trickle charged since Wednesday) when i turn the key engine turns as normal, but no rpm at all (should read around 200rpm on starter ??) And does not try to start AT ALL. I DONT have any AFR readings either !!.. Everything else electrical is working , lights, horn, heater blower. Can heat the pump prime. And the usual click behind the dash. I am with out a lap top at the moment...but have always bin able to connect to ms2 via my s7 using MSDROID . But now this wont connect either.... Looking for simple ways I can check out my esu.. power ? Grounds.?? Internal fuses.?? Etc. Thankyou in advace

Precisely what MS2 version are you using here?

My ecu is MS LABS
Ms2 Enhanced ECU
Mazda Miata 90-97 1.6L
S/N 10388 .
P.s I did manage to get my mx5 eunos (jdm import) to sort of fire on my orignal mazda ecu, obviously not running as no MAF and injector sizes very different, but at least I got a spark and fuel. Have removed the ms2 from car and looking for a way to bench connect it to my desk top computer where i have loaded up tuner studio. I would really like to save my last and current map that Dale at Bailey Performance put on as this map was perfect for me, and the car ran so well. Before looking to send my MS2 to some one much smarter than me to have it repaired ???

Do you have any historical datalogs when it fails? That might give us something to go on.

I can do general analysis and repairs in the UK, but this one may need to go back to Greece if it needs specialist input from Dimitris.

Hi James jsmcortina...no sorry, no data logs :( ...So whats my best way forward. Can i send it to you first. To see if its repairable...or straight to greece?? Will my current tune be lost. I hope not. Was an expensive day on The dyno . I cant really afford to loose it.. Whats my best move next please James ?
