Hey all.
I am wiring up my 93 1uzfe to run with stock ignition setup, but I have a question. I am hoping to use the stock coil ignitors. But I am confused on the wiring for them. And wiring diagrams I've seen show "IGT" and "IGF" going to the stock ecu.
I found one forum post that says "IGT" is output and "IGF" is "confirm fire
I know the ignitors are bonded to ground through their case, so is one wire the trigger and one sensor ground?
Thanks

The knowledge in this forum doesn't always narrow down to a specific year and model.
Also models and equipment change depending on country of origin.
It is best to post a part # and picture of the ignitor/coil you have a question about.
You can also google the part # and sometimes you can find info about the part that way.
You might also check at DIYAutotune or in a forum that specializes in that particular motor.

Re: 1uzfe wiring
Hook a logic level trigger to IGT on each ignitor. IGF can go to the sensor ground or be ignored.

What is a logic level trigger? I am also in the process of connecting a megasquirt ECU to my 1UZ and the last thing I need to do is figure out how to connect my ignitors to the MS wiring harness.

These take a low current, 5 volt signal. See the mods in section 5.3.1.3 or 5.3.1.4 of your board's MS2/Extra Hardware Manual for what you'll need.Umjamlam wrote:What is a logic level trigger?
