Two Megastim Forums?

Post by Ace McCool »

I'm curious why there is one megastim forum on this site, and another completely separate on on msefi. It would seem that it might be better to collect all the issues related to this common design in one place. Is this forum just intended for msextra related stim issues? .. Are there any msextra specific stim issues?

Not sure really, I think it was created during the forum split.

However, I find myself only occupying one forum and only infrequently visit MSEFI now, so I'll miss most things posted there. Not sure whether everyone else is doing this as well?

I'm the same way, but spend more time at msefi. What would be ideal is if a subforum like this could appear (and be postable to) at both URL's.

Not a big deal but the way it is not may make it hard to dig up old posts at times.

dumb observation; you could (m2f) subscribe to this msextra forum and let questions come into your email inbox instead of checking this forum. That would alleviate the need to keep an eye on the forum.

I'm not completely sure about this, but I think posts that are not active for 14 days are pruned out so the database can be more manageable, therefore archiving info on the forum may not be counted on. I'm not sure what the quantitive numbers are as far as days, or which forums are pruned, or even if pruning is done on msextra. I think that would require moderator or admin say-so to be sure and it may change in the future.

There are some forums that are on multiple sites, but I'm not sure how that integration worked. This may be something to persue?
