Have you put a pull up jumper on the JimStim?

i tested whit this jumper, but not has efect

(i tested whit a 5v pullup becouse my hall sensor is 5v)

but, the resistor on D8 place have a similar function?

signal output of JimStim is a senoid or quadratic on 60-2 wheel simulator?

The output is square wave. I'm suprised you report only 4000rpm max - I'm sure I've seen over 7000rpm displayed on mine.

Due to the way the wheel simulator works, the wheel patterns won't go to extremely high rpms, but should still work fine within the simulated operating range of most car engines.

The JimStim will support over 9000 RPM on a 60-2 wheel. A 36-1 wheel will go to more than 16000RPM. The maximum RPM that can be simulated is about 16500RPM which can be reached with most wheels, 60-2 being one of the exceptions due to the number of teeth.

Can you try the 36-1 wheel to see what you get?
