megastim, wasted spark output

Post by ifcho »

Hi,

I have assembled a v3 msII board with the ignition mods for wasted spark, as per the instructions on msextra, and it seems to be working properly.
The stim also works, showing ignition events from the primary coil driver, but there is no led for the secondary coil driver.

So I just thought, I can just wire up an additional LED this way - from the spare 6 hole on the stim board (connected to the spare 4 port on the msII, which is where I have connected the output of the ignition driver) I soldered a 470ohms resistor, a LED and then grounded it.
However, it doesn't work, so I'm now thinking, should I have wired the second LED another way?

i think that i have found a part of the problem.

When I select a toothed wheel, I have the option to use the wasted spark system, but the stimulator cannot simulate such signal, so I'm a little stuck...
