Re: do i need a stim to power ecu
You don't need a stim. Either use a 9V battery, a plug-in-the-wall power adapter or a car battery.
It is ESSENTIAL that you use a fuse (ideally 1-2A) if connecting to the car battery and a good idea with the others.
A stim does help test other functions but is not essential. In the UK you should be able to get a stim from Phil Ringwood, Bill Shurvinton or I've got a JimStim kit due for delivery.
