Jimstim 35+1

Post by john.p.clegg »

Just got hold of a jimstim V1.3 and am having a play, looking at the tooth logger and expecting 36-1 am actually getting 35+1 (or that is what it looks like) have tried inverting the output with switches 7 and 8 but no change,am running primary tach with a 12v pull-up....thinking that Q1 could be dead...am I on the right track?

Thanks
John :RTFM:

P.S. already found the problem of garbage coming out with too much RPM course

PPS. the air and coolant will not go below 54C but I think that could be due to the pots being 10K?

What does this "35+1" look like?

Have you looked at the tooth log examples page?

Many thanks for your speedy reply,it looks like "" Tooth log of 36-1 wheel on V8 running", but I am sure when I did the same on my Heath Robinson simulator(sewing machine motor,36-1 wheel,VR sensor) the -1 pulse was missing not highlighted?

That is no longer an issue with the latest version of the CPU which has firmware v2.0.3

That will depend which calibration you use for those inputs. With the standard GM calibration, it will go lower than that but other calibrations will be different.
