Broken leds, no rpm.

Post by ros2468 »

Hello,

I have still to figure if i have wired the leds, the guides where missleading.

looking into the leds i have the smallest lead closest to the trigger IC. Also i managed to completly destroy the D5 led in the deassembly attempt. I have only tps signal and air mixture in tunerstudio demo.

Looking at the base of your led's there should be a flat edge. That shows which lead is the cathode aka the short lead. Anyway that flat will face the outside edge of the pcb. Away from the 555 IC in other words. If you look at the PCB the silk screen it actually shows the flat edge also.

This is what the instructions say:-

"Install the LED's with the short leg and the flat side towards the outside edge of the board."

Apart from the rogue apostrophe, what's misleading about that?
