Jimstim1.5 Flex fuel test

Post by 87lsx10 »

I have a ms3x trying to configure flex fuel sensor. I turned it on in tuner studio and placed jumper from flex input on the stimx to the spare pointometer on the jimstim, brought up ethonal% gauge but nothing happens. Tried using another input besides the flex-in on the ms3x but same result. Has anyone simulated this in test mode?

The flex fuel signal is not an analog 0-5V signal but a PWM signal. The JimStim can't simulate that.

Oh okay didn't realize that. Is there anyway to configure something to simulate a pwm?

You could try to use the tach signal with the distributor wheel pattern. That might work for a small RPM range but I haven't tried and won't be able to since I don't have an MS3 test setup available.

Other than that there is nothing on the JimStim that can simulate a PWM signal.
